
This project began with an intensive programming effort to determine which SCL Divisions would be relocated to the South Service Center. SCL reorganized twice during the course of the project and the space requirements were modified to accommodate the reorganizational changes.
An independent project conducted by Design Perspectives established workstation space standards. These standards were applied to the two floors of open office areas in the new addition. System furniture planning was based on the Steelcase Furniture system and the City of Seattle's purchasing contract with Steelcase included final furniture specifications and installation coordination. Design Perspectives provided the space plans, and color,materials and finishes specifications.
